James L. Flango—4/3/2017

James L. Flango, age 72, of Harleysville died on April 3, 2017 at Peter Becker Community in Harleysville.. He had been in failing health.

Born in Philipsburg. PA., he was the son of the late Victor and Helen Smolen Flango.  He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1966 with an Undergraduate and from Penn State University in 1970 with his Masters Degree. Mr. Flango served in the US Army during the Vietnam War era.  Mr. Flango was a Math Instructor with the Perkionen Valley School District from 1970 to 1998.

He is survived by his beloved wif Wendy A. Stecher Flango, his devoted children James R. Flango and his wife Lyn of Brigantine, NJ, Kari Paisley-Flango of Medford, Mass and Jill K. Gower and her husband John of Skippack and two brothers Victor Eugene Flango and Robert Flango.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 8th at 10:30AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield, PA. 19440 where the family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30AM. Interment private in St. John Neumann Cemetery. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James memory to the Peter Becker Community Benevolent Fund, 800 Maple Ave, Harleysville, PA. 19438 would be preferred.
