Carol Joan Raymond (Gonsalves), 80, of Lansdale, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday evening, March 2, after an extended illness, surrounded by the love of her husband and daughters. She was born on October 5, 1936 in New Bedford, MA and was the daughter of the late Beatrice (Monteiro) and Jason Gonsalves and the stepdaughter of the late Santo Bochichio. She graduated from New Bedford High School. In 1955, Carol married Donald Raymond and celebrated 61 years of marriage. She lived in the New Bedford area for most of her life and spent her later years in Lansdale where she was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish.

She was preceded in death by her daughters Donna and Christine and by her son-in-law Joseph Michael Noble.

Carol is survived by her husband, Donald and their children: son, Michael D. Raymond and his wife Cynthia; daughters, Coleen (Raymond) Noble, Anne Raymond, and Michelle (Raymond) Bray and her husband Terence. She is also survived by two brothers: Robert Gonsalves and John Gonsalves and his wife Judith. She leaves behind a special Aunt, Dorothy, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren: Matthew, Christopher, Renee and Megan and her great-grandchild, Ian. She loved baking for her friends and family, playing bingo, being with her pets and was an avid follower of politics. Carol was a homemaker and her family was always her first priority.

Carol was a devout Catholic who was active in her faith and had an unshakable confidence in God’s love and mercy. She set aside time every day to pray a daily rosary to the Blessed Mother.
